Design Options: (Click for larger view)SportScreens are manufactured from the highest quality components in the industry. The screen can be surface mounted or mounted inside the jamb (opening) of any exterior or interior application. The SportScreen consists of a drop down approach, in which the housing unit is secured across the top of the opening to be protected. By simple lowering the weight bar (pull bar) or by pressing a button on the remote or wall switch, the SportScreen lowers to the floor with the guidance of a left and right vertical rail (screen or fabric is not attached to side rails). SportScreen delivers privacy, ventilation, protection, and secure shading for common applications that include RV’s, toy haulers, horse trailers, motorhomes and other vehicles. Digital KeypadThe Somfy single channel digital keypad is a programmable indoor or outdoor control panel for our SportScreen Retractable Screens should motorization be added. This single channel digital keypad is the perfect solution for our security conscious customers to help prevent unwarranted access to their motorized SportScreen system.
Extension PoleThe SportScreen Extension Pole is ideal for openings where the SportScreen is mounted in hard to reach heights. Relax and simple grab the extension pole and find the eye-hole mounted to the pull bar to bring the pull bar to your reach. Once the pull bar is in your reach, remove the extension pole from the eye-hole on the pull bar and continue the pull bar down to its lower limits. The Extension Pole can also be used to slowly guide the SportScreen back to its upper limits.
Hand Held RemoteA single channel hand held radio transmitter remote can operate one SportScreen Motorized Unit. A 5 channel radio transmitter remote can operate up to 5 separate SportScreen Motorized Units independently. Our hand held remotes comply with Part 15 of the FCC rules.
Hard Wired Wall SwitchA single channel hardwired wall switch can operate one SportScreen Motorized Unit. A 5 channel hardwired wall switch can operate up to 5 separate SportScreen Motorized Units independently.
Housing CanisterThe 3" SportScreen housing canister (2.799"D x 2.895"H) can accommodate openings up to 120” (10 feet) in width and 108” (9 feet) in height. The vertical railing system is 1.643"W x .502”D. The weight bar is 1.750”H x .875"D.
Low Voltage Junction BoxWhen motorization is chosen for the SportScreen a low voltage junction box is needed. This low voltage junction box can be hidden inside the wall of the vehicle or mounted on the outside.
Screen Mesh & Fabric Options
Screen Mesh or Fabric SeamA horizontal seam in the mesh or fabric is necessary when you reach a certain width or height for an opening in which a SportScreen is to be installed. The seam joins two pieces of screen mesh or fabric together in order to accommodate certain widths and heights. The times in which a seam is needed varies per screen mesh style or fabric choice. The horizontal seam location can be placed at the top or bottom of the SportScreen depending on the customers design. A vertical seam is not an option.
Side TracksSide Tracks will help prevent the weight bar from moving around in the wind. The screen is not sealed (snapped in) on the left and right of the opening like a PanoramaLite.
Somfy MotorSomfy low voltage motors are used in our SportScreen Motorized Units.
Square SillsSquare Sills are used to create a mounting surface for the sidetracks of the SportScreen when mounting inside the jamb of an opening or on an uneven stucco surface. The powder coated Square Sill is screwed into place and creates a 1” smooth surface for you to mount your sidetrack. The Square Sill is 1.077” H x .788” W (top) x 1.178” W (base)
Weather SensorA weather sensor is a great addition to any SportScreen Motorized Unit. When the sun rises, the SportScreen Motorized Unit lowers automatically and if the wind picks up, it retracts back up to prevent any damage to the screen.
Weight BarThe weight bar (pull bar) of the SportScreen is the bar that raises and lowers horizontally when you operate the screen. The screen mesh or fabric is attached to this weight bar. In certain installations, a fuzzy pile or rubber gasket is placed onto the bottom of the weight bar to help eliminate gaps from the unevenness of the floor or surface that this bar lowers down to. The pile or rubber gasket will create that 100% bug proof seal that you desire.

A 5 channel radio transmitter wireless wall switch can operate up to 5 separate SportScreen Motorized Units independently. Our wireless wall switches comply with Part 15 of the FCC rules.
